After her mother's sudden death, Zo Grey receives a cryptic call letting her know she's the heir to a vast fortune and a massive mansion at the top of Watch Hill, located in the remote village of Divinity. The only condition to keep the house and money is to live there, alone, for three years. With no family, resources, or anything left to lose, Zo travels to that eerie and peculiar place. Soon, she encounters a mysterious red-eyed owl that seems to be stalking her, and a stunningly handsome Scottish gardener who looks like he's stepped out of another world.
As the days go by, Zo dives deeper into the secrets of Watch Hill, and the gothic mansion begins to unveil its riddles: doors that lead nowhere, sealed rooms, a turret with no apparent entrance, and relics from the past that seem to come alive. Yet the greatest mystery is that Zo's own story is interwoven with that of the house.
