Everyone has ups and downs, times when everything seems to be running smoothly, and times when nothing seems to go right. Events we have no control over churn us up and spit us out into the void. For Stephanie Tarpey, the fourteen days her husband, Captain Richard Tarpey, spent in captivity in the Niger Delta was one of those times. After the supply boat he was running was hijacked, and he and two others were kidnapped by a militant group, Rich was threatened with AK-47s, machetes, dismemberment, and death. The hostages knew there was no escape, and survival depended on God.
