Shame is a seemingly intractable condition for many people. Many times, urgency for the eternal causes people to miss the real pain of the here and now. They have prayed the right prayers, taken the right classes, and even joined the right churches, and yet, they continue to feel that if anyone ever really saw them, there's no way they'd still be loved. They wonder how God could call them "very good" if they let him really see them--so they hide. Yet, over and over, followers of Jesus are promised rest, wholeness, and abundant life. This book offers a pathway out of shame and hiding and offers the truth that being seen by God is being loved by God.
