The aims of this text are to present a summary of interactive approaches to teaching and learning and to enable teachers to re-evaluate their basic teaching methods in the light of interactive approaches. The authors hope that the material gathered here from hitherto scattered literature will have a direct impact on teaching practice. It also provides a means by which teachers of students with learning difficulties can investigate and experiment with interactive approaches.
