They've had a contract out on his life since he was four days old, but they've been unsuccessful. So far. Now McGill teams up with an Actuni plant-monk—who is not your everyday sentient cactus—as they flee the PsychSection of the Flinger Network and seek an encounter with the most ancient of all mysteries.
