Social Surveys (1949) examines a host of fact-finding studies, dealing mainly with working class poverty, and the associated nature and problems. To describe the structure of a community demands a close study of the people who compose it, and of the environment in which they work and spend their free time, and the primary aim of a Social Survey is to make an accurate and impartial collection and presentation of facts.
