Youth Unemployment (1985) investigates the sustained rise in the level of youth unemployment in the 1980s. Young people are often seen as innocent victims when unemployment spikes, and it is also frequently the case that they are the most vulnerable of job seekers and the group for which unemployment is likely to have the most serious and lasting impact.
